Your Himalayan adventure begins the moment you land. Private transfer to your Thamel hotel, a trek briefing, and gear check, then it's an early night before the mountains call.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822m)
A scenic 7 to 8 hour drive past the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, or a 25-minute flight if you're short on time. Evening free to stroll Pokhara's lakeside.
Day 3: Journey from Pokhara to Ulleri (1,960m)
Drive to Hille, then trek through Tikhedhunga and cross a suspension bridge before tackling the legendary stone staircase to Ulleri, a Magar village with your first views of Annapurna South.
Day 4: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,880m)
A gentler climb through blooming rhododendron forest, streams, and wildlife sightings. Arrive in hilltop Ghorepani, ringed by Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Annapurna — tomorrow's sunrise awaits.
Day 5: Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,630m)
A pre-dawn climb to Poonhill rewards you with one of Nepal's most iconic sunrises on Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, lit gold. Then descend through forest trails, spotting langurs, to Tadapani.
Day 6: Trek from Tadapani to Chomrong (2,165m)
Descend through rhododendron forest to the Gurung village of Ghandruk, then climb to Chomrong, the last major village before the Sanctuary, with front-row views of Fishtail Peak.
Day 7: Trek from Chomrong to Dovan (2600m)
Stone steps down to Chomrong Khola, past Sinuwa's ridge-top views of Machhapuchhre, through bamboo and oak forest along the Modi River to Dovan.
Day 8: Trek from Dovan to Pitam Deurali (3,230m)
The gorge narrows as granite cliffs rise overhead, laced with waterfalls. Vegetation thins; the air sharpens; Deurali marks the edge of the true high mountains.
Day 9: Trek from Pitam Deurali to ABC (4,130m)
Via Machhapuchhre Base Camp, the trail opens into the Sanctuary itself. Annapurna I, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli, and Fishtail encircle you. This is the moment the whole trek builds toward.
Day 10: Trek from ABC to Sinuwa (2,360m)
One last sunrise over the amphitheater of peaks before retracing your steps down through MBC, Deurali, and Bamboo to the warmth of lower elevation at Sinuwa.
Day 11: Trek from Sinuwa to Jhinu Danda (1,780m)
Trek through peaceful rhododendron and oak forest to Jhinu Danda, then reward tired legs with a soak in the natural hot springs, the trek's best-earned break.
Day 12: Drive from Jhinu Danda to Pokhara (822m)
A short final walk, then a jeep ride through the countryside back to lakeside Pokhara. Time to relax, boat on Phewa Lake, or explore before heading back to the capital.
Day 13: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,400m)
A scenic bus ride past Damauli, Dumre, and Mugling bazaars, with hills, rivers, and snow peaks along the way. One last evening in Thamel to celebrate.
