Dhampus Sarangkot is one of the shortest treks in Nepal and passes through country inhabited by diverse people. It offers amazing mountain scenery and takes you north of Annapurna Mt. Machhapuchare (Fishtail) ranges.
This region is heavily settled and farmed. Sarangkot is the best point to view both sunrise sunset on the magnificent Himalayan range. You will have great views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges including the wonderful Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish Tail). Sarangkot village is perched high up on the northwest side of Pokhara with charming views of Pokhara valley and the Phewa Lake.
This is not only a remarkable trek but one of the most popular treks in Nepal. It passes through beautiful countryside inhabited by highly diverse communities of people. This region is heavily settled by the mid hills tribe of Gurungs. Gurungs are the famous Gurkha soldiers in the British, Indian, and Nepalese Army.
This trek offers excellent scenery surrounded by the great Himalayan Range.

Day 1 :Pokhara to Dhampus (1,650 m)We go on a 40 min drive to Phedi and start the trek to Dhampus (1,650 m). The trails have steps making it a little difficult but the views are totally worth it!! We can take it nice and slow as it only takes 3 hours to get to the beautiful village of Dhampus.

Day 2 :Dhampus to Sarangkot (1,590 m)First we have down to the valley and slowly climb up to Naudada. We will have lunch with the magnificent views of the Annapurna range. While going to Sarangkot, we can enjoy the gorgeous sunset view from the view tower. We can get beautiful views of the city of Pokhara and its lake.

Day 3 :Sarangkot to Pokhara(950 m)From Sarangkot you have a few options to get down to Pokhara as this place has motor excess as well as paragliding. By paying extra you can enjoy a para glide trip down to Pokhara. If you prefer to walk back, it takes 2-3 hours downhill to reach Pokhara.
