Gokyo Valley Circuit Trek in August

In August, we completed a trek around Gokyo Valley Circuit Trek. Our primary worry was the weather because it was monsoon season. Since we already had all of our tickets and other arrangements made, we trusted that it could be done even during the rainy season, and it turned out to be the perfect decision! August is a particularly lovely month because all the hills are green and it's warm even at higher altitudes, which means less packing. And the major benefit for me personally was how peaceful the hike was during the off-season. It was good to still only run across a few people, but not too many, so we could still enjoy the peace and quiet. Additionally, it expands your options for lodging. We never got wet on the journey because our guide was highly knowledgable about the weather and we had always arrived at our lodge by the time the rain started, so visibility is very good because most early mornings the sky is clear and if it rains it only starts late in the afternoon.

Gokyo Valley Circuit Trek with GVNT

With Green Valley Nepal Treks, I recently completed the Gokyo Valley Circuit Trek. I'm grateful to Arjun and his staff for doing everything they could to make this vacation fantastic and extra special for me. The accommodation and sightseeing tour in Kathmandu were excellent and a great way to start my trip. GVNT was able to arrange for me to board a helicopter for a reasonable fee despite the fact that the flights to Lukla were generally problematic, allowing me to begin my trek on schedule. My tour guide Gopal was fantastic; he was engaging, educated, and very responsible. He helped to make my visit one to remember.

We assign 1 porter to transport 2 duffel bags for clients. Please be aware that for the flight to Lukla, you are only permitted 15 kg of luggage, including your handbag.
