One of the finest experiences of your life will be flight. You will be able to see the breathtaking Himalayan mountain range and the lushest hills. After landing safely at Lukla Airport, one of the world's most hazardous airports, the aircraft spectacular will come to an end. All of the Everest explorations begin at Lukla. When you arrive in Lukla, the local government will issue you a Local Area Permit so you may continue your journey.

You will leave Lukla for Chhuthang after obtaining the Mera Peak Climbing local permits. You will pass through a number of tiny Sherpa towns that are located close together along the route. By touching and observing the Buddhist Mani walls and prayer wheels, you will progress. Soon you will come across a dense grove of pine and rhododendron trees that leads you through the less traveled routes. The Kalo Himal Ridge continues to remain right below this woodland. Be in touch with the group and guide because there are other paths that link to the main route and might be confusing. To reach Chhutang, your final objective for today, continue following the paths that are connected to the stream.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 3 to 4 Hours

You will go across Zatra La Pass to Thuli Kharkha after enjoying a superb breakfast in Chhutanga. You will pass through rhododendron trees and yak-grazing meadows as you continue on the Mera Peak Climbing route. You can feel the altitude and it is a difficult traverse. You will ascend the Kalo Himal's ridge of stones and prayer flags. You will reach Zatrwa La Pass in a few minutes. The pass divides the Hinku Valley from the Khumbu Valley. To snap photographs and enjoy the scenery, you will pause for a time. You may take in the scenic views of several mountains, including Lumding Himal, Number Himal, Kongdi Ri, and Karyolang Peak, from the summit.

After that, it will take you one to two hours to descend to Thuli Kharka through Chattre. You will travel across various Yak pasture regions all along the paths. It is amazing and iconic to see yaks grazing over such a stunning landscape. You will enjoy the final hiking hours since you will see more of these sights. After you complete the picturesque descent to Thuli Kharka, your incredible Mera Peak Climbing experience will come to a conclusion for today. Thuli Kharka is a large grassland with a number of modest tea houses. When you go to Thuli Kharka, you will go to a teahouse and take a well-earned rest.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 5 to 6 Hours

After breakfast, you will depart from Thuli Kharka towards Kothe. You will arrive in the Khumbu region's Hinku valley via the Mera Peak Climbing Route today. Just in front of mountain views, the walk will begin with a gradual descent. And gradually, the track will become slightly unsteady due to frequent uphills and downhills. Even yet, the trip will be enjoyable because you will be moving through a beautiful, green forest of oaks, pines, and rhododendrons. As soon as you approach the Hinku valley, you will have the first glimpse of your final objective, Mera Peak, along with a number of other snow-covered summits tempting the Everest backdrop.

You will descend down a short, straight hill after taking in the breathtaking view from the summit. If you try to descend quickly on this part of the Mera Peak Climbing route, it may get slippery. The Hinku River's riverbed is easily accessible from the top and won't require a lot of time or effort. The Hinku River bank is located one hilly climb from Kothe. To get to Kothe, you will need to push through the final leg of the day. West of the Hinku valley is Kothe, which has a tranquil wilderness and a few teahouses. The time spent at Kothe will be utterly wonderful.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 6 to 7 Hours

It's time to resume the Mera Peak Climbing adventure after spending the night at Kothe. You will need to retrace your tracks along the Hinku River's riverbed as Thangnak is your target for the day. You may use the river as a trail marker to direct you in the direction of Gondishung. The treeline gradually disappears as you get higher. At this height, there are simply kharkas, or yak grazing fields, and no significant communities. You will arrive in Gondishung and eat lunch there after walking in the shadow of the Mera Peak. You will be amazed by the breathtaking vistas of Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Mera Peak, and Charpati Himal.

You may visit the Lungsumgba Gompa, a Buddhist temple with a two-century-old, after trekking for a bit from the Gondishung. Plenty of strongly believe that the success of the Mera Peak Climb depends on lighting the shrine at this Gompa. You can locate a piece of rock art that perfectly captures Mera Peak in the middle of the day. Take some photos there before you go the last few kilometers to Thangnak. You can easily walk over Mera Peak climbing route from here, so you will undoubtedly appreciate the stunning surroundings. With little discomfort and a wealth of sights, you will arrive at Thangnak. Thangnak is a pastureland where villagers only come to feed their yaks in the summer. Nonetheless, there are few modest tea houses where climbers of Mera Peak may get some food and spend the night.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 4 to 5 Hours

Today, the Mera Peak climbing route will leave Thangnak and go toward Khare. Considering that you will have to traverse rocky moraine pathways, the walk will be a little challenging. Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka, where you will be in front of Charpate Himal, is where the moraine route will take you. You can see Kyeshar Glacier, Mera Peak, and Charpati Himal from Dig Kharka in breathtaking detail. Before arriving in Khare, ascend the Hinku Nup and Shar glaciers. The glacier's route is the trickiest, so watch your step and go cautiously.

Following that, there will be a long trek up a hill that terminates at Khare. Compared to the previous climbs, this one will be more difficult. Hence, preserve some energy before beginning this ascent. Reaching Khare, where you can see as much of Mera peak as you can after the 3 to 4 hours of an upward hike, marks the conclusion of the journey. As Khare serves as the acclimatization point on the Mera Peak climbing itinerary, you will need to spend another day here tomorrow.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 5 to 6 Hours

Each high-altitude expedition requires at least one day for acclimatization. Moreover, the ultimate high adventure is the peak excursion. Without even one acclimatization day, you can't just start climbing. Altitude sickness may strike as a result of doing so. Anybody who travels at a height over 5000 meters is susceptible to altitude sickness. As many of you might be aware, Mera Peak's summit, which is 6,476 meters above sea level, is the peak's highest point. During this climbing trip to Mera Peak, you must breathe air that is 6,476 meters above sea level. You will be more likely to have altitude sickness if you don't acclimate before the summit day. Your body must adjust to the higher altitudes over time.

The Mera Peak climbing itinerary thus includes this rest or acclimatization day in Khare. The entire day will be spent in and around Khare, the entry point to Mera Base Camp, where our guides will lead a pre-climb training session. Before reaching the mountain, you will have the opportunity to practice your climbing techniques. Using a harness and climbing tools, ascend and descend the rocky terrain. Learn how to tie knots and the proper belaying and rappelling techniques. This training will be beneficial for you if this is your first ascent of a Himalayan peak since our knowledgeable climbing guides will impart some useful information and really helpful advice to ensure a safe ascent.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

You are getting closer to Mera Peak with each passing day. To arrive at Mera Base Camp, you will depart from Khare early in the morning. Compared to the prior trials, this stretch is more difficult and technically challenging. You will use the inclining Mera glacier as part of the Mera Peak Climbing Route to get to the base camp. The glacier trails are more challenging to navigate than the regular ones, as you are aware. Before you can access Mera Peak Base Camp, you must ascend a glacier.

Your Sherpa crew will quickly unload the tent and food supplies once they get to Mera Base Camp. The hike to Mera Peak will include a few more nights spent camping after today. Your friends will build a camp for you where you may rest and enjoy the excellent meals they provide. The thought of spending the night in the camp nearby the open, starry sky is really alluring. While tomorrow is another crucial day for the excursion, take a good, long nap.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 3 to 4 Hours

It is now time to ascend the Mera High Camp after leaving base camp. As a result, after eating the breakfast that Sherpas prepared, you will leave the base camp. The difficult ascent through the stony and icy trail leads to the Mera La Pass via the Mera Peak Climbing Route, which departs from base camp. The track appears to continue to be as steep as it was before the Mera La Pass rather than descending.

You may reach the Mera High Camp by dragging your body down a steep path for several hours. Afterward, you may enjoy the spectacular mountain views while breathing in the cold wind from the Mera High Camp. It is simple to see peaks like Everest, Nuptse, Baruntse, Chamlang, Makalu, and a number of others from Mera High Camp. Your staff member will set up the campsite for your relaxation while you take in the scenery. In the Mera High Camp, appreciate the meal and take in the beautiful night.

  • Tented Camp
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 5 to 6 Hours

As you will be reaching the summit, this is the most crucial day of the whole Mera Peak Climbing Itinerary. You will make your way forward before daylight with all of your mountaineering gear prepared. In order to reach the peak before midday, you must begin ascending early in the morning, at approximately 2 AM. By 12 o'clock, there are strong gusts that might make it more difficult at the summit of Mera Peak. As a result, after eating breakfast, you will proceed in the same direction as your knowledgeable guide.

With the appropriate direction from your guides, you can complete the summit climb, which has no significant technical challenges. You will be astounded by the vistas of numerous eight-thousanders and other peaks once you reach the summit. Some of these are Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, and Mt. Makalu. When seeing the mountains from the peak, you will experience a tremendous amount of success. After all, your long-awaited desire has been achieved. Before returning to Khare for the night, indulge in the splendors of celebrating the successful summit of Mera Peak.

  • Tented Camp
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 8 to 9 Hours

It's time for Kothe after crossing everything off your bucket list at the peak and getting back to Khare. You will travel via Thangnak on that section before arriving at Kothe. Thangnak is the same location where you stayed the first night after arriving. Nevertheless, this time you don't have to remain in Thangnak as the Kothe is close by and just requires a 3- to 4-hour trip.

The majority of the Mera Peak Climbing route is downhill, therefore downhill trails are simpler and faster to hike on. You will descend in elevation as you follow the same trail back from Khare to Kothe. The majority of your stroll will take place in a lush forest of oak, pine, and rhododendron trees. You will like the pleasure of going again on the same track because of the descending trails and beautiful foliage.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 5 to 6 Hours

You will depart from Kothe for Thuli Kharka after a delicious breakfast. Unlike the previous day, today's walk comprises more uphill than downhill sections. When you move towards the western side of Hinku Valley, you will pass along routes through the forest. After walking about 5 to 6 hours from Kothe, one may reach Thuli Kharka, which is located close to the Hinku valley. You will return to Thuli Kharka to partake in the entertaining experience. Now is the chance to catch up on any missed mountain vistas from the Thuli Kharka. The watchful show of Mera Central and its other faces is hosted by Thuli Kharkha. Before you go, make sure you have had enough of the vistas of Mera Peak.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 5 to 6 Hours

The climbing journey to Mera Peak will come to an end today. You will have a good time on the trip today as you head off for Lukla from Thuli Kharka. You will travel via Zatrawa La Pass one more time before arriving in Lukla. Before beginning the descent, you must cross the pass. Most of the Everest peaks may be seen from Zatrawa La Pass, which is high enough to do so.

The vistas will become completely enthralling to you. You will arrive at Lukla after around six hours of trekking backward. Tomorrow is when you are supposed to fly back to Kathmandu. Thus, it would be the final day spent in the calm Lukla and Everest regions. Hence, make the most of your time at Lukla last night.

  • Tea House or Lodge
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 6 to 7 Hours

As you leave on an early flight to Kathmandu, your time in Lukla will come to an end. After taking in the panoramic beauty of Nepal, you will arrive at Kathmandu airport in 45 minutes. You will be dropped off at your hotel by one of our staff members. You still have time for a city tour as you will arrive in Kathmandu before midday. Hence, you might choose to use it today if you missed any of the sightseeing. • Altitude: Mera Peak is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal, with its summit reaching 6,476 meters (21,246 ft). Trekkers need to acclimatize well, hydrate regularly, and follow a slow and steady pace to avoid altitude-related problems.
  • Technical Difficulty: The climb to Mera Peak involves several technical sections, including traversing steep and icy slopes, crossing crevasses, and using fixed ropes and crampons. Trekkers need to have prior climbing experience or undergo training before attempting Mera Peak Climbing.
  • Weather: The weather in the mountains is unpredictable and can change rapidly. Trekkers need to be prepared for sudden changes in weather, including snow, rain, and wind. The summit push to Mera Peak is typically done at night when temperatures drop significantly, adding to the difficulty level of the climb.

This is my 4th trip to Nepal with Green Valley and the experience was great as always! Raj made sure the trip ran smoothly - meeting me at the airport, sorting out my accommodation, internal flights, guide, local currency, and SIM! Dilip was a great guide and made sure I had everything I needed to reach the summit. He even found new hiking boots when mine fell apart in the middle of the trip! Highly recommend Green Valley for any trekking in Nepal!
