With views of the Himalayas and the terraced valley floor, the flight into the Kathmandu Valley is stunning. One of our employees will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drive you to your accommodation after your arrival.

Your ability to tour the city will depend on your arrival time. Among the well-known attractions in the Kathmandu Valley are the Durbar Square and its winding lanes filled with quaint stores, historic temples, and neighborhood eateries. There is also Swayambhunath Temple, from where you may observe the Himalayas to your north and the setting sun over the valley. Join our Kathmandu City Sightseeing Tour if you're eager to discover more about the Kathmandu Valley.

You should eat your first meal in Thamel, a popular tourist destination, where there are many restaurants to select from serving both Western and native Nepali cuisine. Then, if it is still possible, proceed to Asan Tole, the busiest market in the city, where you can find a genuine collection of spice, seafood, and vegetable stands that make for fantastic photo opportunities. Chat with welcoming locals while practicing a few basic Nepali phrases!

  • 4 Stars Hotel in Thamel
  • Welcome Dinner

Following breakfast, you will fly domestically from Kathmandu to Lukla, where your Luxury Everest Heli Trek will begin. On clear days, the Himalaya is clearly visible as the airplane crosses across valleys and over mountains. However, the Lukla flight is currently being redirected to Ramechhap's Manthali airstrip, which would require a 3–4 hour drive from Kathmandu. We can arrange a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla if you want to avoid this detour or don't want to land at the most hazardous airport in the world.

After that, you'll journey a short distance through nearby settlements, where you can run into other hikers, villagers, and yaks with tinkling bells. It is planned for the first day to be easy to give you time to adjust to the higher elevation. On a clearly indicated trail, continue into the Dudh Koshi Valley and spend the night in Phakding.

  • Yeti Mountain Home
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
  • 5 to 6 Hours
  • 12.63 Kilometers

After eating breakfast in Monjo, you'll begin the steady ascent to Namche. It's a difficult day since you'll start to feel the effects of the altitude. You must also pass several high-suspension bridges along the route that spans the Dudh Kosi River.

The Sagarmatha National Park, which was established to safeguard and conserve the delicate mountain ecosystem, is just beyond the settlement of Monjo (your guide will cover your permission payments here). If the weather is clear, you will catch your first sight of Mount Everest as the trail becomes steeper.

Once you get to Namche, check into your accommodations and start exploring the area. Namche is a fantastic site to restock on supplies because it has lots of little stores offering food and hiking equipment, as well as eateries and pubs. If you visit on a Saturday, check out the Saturday market, which serves as a meeting spot for Tibetan yak caravans and Hindu traders from the lowlands who have both traversed the glaciated Nangpa La.

Local handicrafts are also sold in the town's market. You'll hike to the well-known Everest View Hotel today after that. Occupying one of the highest locations on Earth, the hotel offers views from every window of Mount Everest and several of its summits. Moreover, it offers stunning views of Namche Bazaar below and the Himalayas above. Be in the Everest View Hotel for the night.

  • 2 to 3 Hours

You won't have to hike back the way you came after an early breakfast since you will be picked up from Everest View Hotel for a private helicopter tour of the Himalayas. Before taking off on the long flight return to Kathmandu, you'll stop at Everest Base Camp and get overhead views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Lhotse, and Nuptse.

After reaching Kathmandu, you can spend the afternoon and evening at leisure, taking in any sights you might have missed at the start of your Luxury Everest Heli Trek. You will meet the rest of the Green Valley Nepal Treks Team in the evening to eat dinner together and discuss the trip's great conclusion.

Food or Meal Availability on Luxury Everest Heli Trek

You must eat healthy food in order to maintain a healthy body throughout your adventure. You will sample a wide variety of delicious Nepalese, Chinese, Continental, Italian, and several local cuisines when you go with Green Valley Nepal Treks. The Luxury Everest Heli Trek package includes lunch, dinner, and breakfast. Throughout your trip, your guide will recommend scrumptious, sanitary, and unique foods at each location.

The owner of a mountain restaurant prefers not to place a large order and waste food because they have to feed more hikers before they become stranded. To transport food to these locations, porters and caravans must labor extremely hard for a week or longer. You will often eat breakfast and dinner at the same lodge or tea house where you have stayed overnight, while lunch at one of the trailside eateries along the way.

You must use a reusable bottle of drinking water that you can fill up at the tea house you slept at the previous night. When consuming water from a stream or a tap, you can also use a water purification tablet.

Accommodation Facility on Luxury Everest Heli Trek

As the name implies, the Luxury Everest Heli Trek provides the convenience of accommodations in the finest/most luxurious hotels, guesthouses, and lodges. Is the degree of comfort maintained throughout the entire trip?

Just before responding to this question, let me say this: Even though the Everest region is among the most popular tourist attractions in Nepal. And certainly not the most sophisticated. The isolation of this region is a major advantage of trekking here. There, you may take in the pure beauty of the outdoors and experience authentic mountain living.

Two nights at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu are included in the Luxury Everest Heli Trek package at the start and end of the journey. Moreover, it provides a single-night stay at the luxurious hotels named Yeti Mountain Home in Namche Bazaar and Monjo. On the final day of your walk, you will spend the night at the most well-known hotel, the Everest View Hotel, and then enjoy a helicopter tour to see Mount Everest and the Nearby Peaks.

Luxury Everest Heli Trek Difficulty Level

Are you willing to take on a challenge that includes beautiful landscapes and an element of adventure? If so, the Luxury Everest Heli Trek might be your ideal adventure!

The trip is suitable for individuals with a decent level of fitness because it is deemed moderate in difficulty. Spend two days trekking across difficult terrain, overcoming difficult ascents and descents, and taking in the high altitude of the Himalayas. But don't be alarmed! To reduce the burden of trekking, the trip also includes a helicopter ride to get back to Kathmandu. Additionally, we have carefully prepared the schedule with appropriate acclimatization days to lower the risk of altitude sickness.

Requirements of Travel Insurance for Luxury Everest Heli Trek

You will be trekking with a trained Sherpa guide who is certified in first aid and has expertise in dealing with emergencies. You must get travel insurance before taking part in the Luxury Everest Heli Trek. In an emergency, having travel insurance will be helpful. Each client must have sufficient insurance to cover any costs that may arise from mishaps or medical issues. Make sure your travel insurance covers the following: medical costs, airline cancellation, air evacuation, and loss or theft of personal belongings. Keep in mind that Green Valley Nepal Treks doesn't offer or sell insurance.

Altitude Sickness and Remedies on Luxury Everest Heli Trek

Acute Mountain Sickness, also known as AMS, was carefully considered when developing the Luxury Everest Heli Trek Itinerary. Rapid climb to higher altitudes causes a serious medical condition that may be fatal. As altitude rises, the amount of oxygen in the air decreases. For instance, at elevations above 5000 m, there is 50% less oxygen than at sea level. As a result, your body takes a while to get used to being in a low-oxygen environment. On your way, you'll stop at Namche Bazaar for a break, which will help you ascend to the high altitude. To prevent altitude sickness while on the Luxury Everest Heli Trek, keep in mind the following tips:

    • Keep yourself hydrated when hiking and stay away from alcohol because it dehydrates you.
    • Maintain a healthy diet throughout the trip.
    • Diamox, the most effective medicine for altitude sickness, should be brought along on the hike.
    • Don't hurry when hiking to a high altitude. You ought to walk carefully and slowly.
    • Before hiking at an elevation of more than 3,000 meters, acclimate appropriately.
    • If your body reveals any symptoms of altitude sickness, you must either stop immediately or lower some elevation.
    • Keeping yourself clean may also help you avoid altitude sickness.
