The day before starting the trip, our guide will come to meet you in your hotel at 17:00 for a trip meeting and to brief the next day’s plan. You must let us know your location in Pokhara once you make a reservation.

The journey begins with a jeep ride from Pokhara to Ulleri, but this is only possible during Spring, Autumn, and Winter due to road conditions that are often affected by heavy rain and landslides in the rainy season.

From Ulleri, the trail gradually winds through beautiful woods and waterfalls towards Ghorepani (2800m). The path passes through the Annapurna Conservation Area, leading to a welcoming gate before reaching the village.

Upon arrival in Ghorepani, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri Himal range and relax in comfortable lodges. You can explore the Poon-Magar village and unwind with local cuisine, hot showers, and optional spa services. The trek will take you through beautiful woodlands to the small settlement of Bhaise Kharka, followed by a descent to a stream and a winding trail towards Ghandruk. Ghandruk is one of the largest Gurung villages in the Annapurna region, home to the Gurung people who share similarities with the Poon Magar community of Ghorepani. The Gurung practice both Hinduism and Buddhism, with unique cultural traditions rooted in the Bon sect of pre-Buddhism.

Upon arriving in Ghandruk, you will check into the best available lodges and enjoy your lunch. Afterward, you will explore the village and visit the small Gurung museum to learn more about the local culture.
