The route is rich in flora and fauna; rhododendron forests, fir, pine et cetera are common. Monasteries and cheese factories also form a unique experience during the trek.
The Gosaikunda Lake Trekking is a pilgrimage trek for Hindus to the Gosaikunda Lake, the sacred site for the worship of Shiva. Glacial lakes, snow peaks, oak and rhododendron forests, enchanting waterfalls, ethnic and traditional settlements, and above all, the legends of Gosaikunda itself, makes the trek an outstanding experience.
We drive to Dunche, a beautiful village with amazing mountain scenery where the trek starts. Ascending on to Thulo Sybru the next day and then higher on to Chandanbari the next, the increased elevation makes way for a clearer mountain vistas.
