The Mardi Himal Trek is a famous trekking trail in the Annapurna region among travelers as well as novice trekkers. This trek provides an unimaginable trekking experience that leads to the uninhabited parts of the Annapurna region. The Mardi Himal Trek offers off-the-beaten trekking experience that takes you to the beautiful Mardi Himal Base Camp, which is situated at the foot of the colossal icy shard called Mardi Himal (5,587 m). During the Mardi Himal Trek, you will get to witness Gurung cultures and festivals. If you take this trek during late December, then you can observe the Tamu Lhosar as well. Mardi Himal Trek route: The Mardi Himal Trek itinerary starts from Kathmandu, and after visiting the major world heritage sites, you drive or fly to Pokhara. Spend a day by visiting the major landmarks of Pokhara and getting all the documents trekking equipment ready. A short drive will take you to Kande, and now you shall commence the long walk to Deurali. Flanked with a view of amazing Himalayan mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Mardi Himal, you reach Forest Camp. The route now sees very little people as these parts are less traveled. Fight the uphill battle and arrive at the High Camp. Youll start to see traces of snow now. Finally, arrive at the Mardi Himal Base Camp, and after spending some time here, you head down to low camp. Learn the tongue of the locals in Siding, and drive to Pokhara then to Kathmandu where this trip shall end.
Best time to go on Mardi Himal Trek
The best time to go on Mardi Himal Trek is from the start of October to the middle of December. You will be greeted by magnificent mountain views, and during this time of the year, the weather is clear and provides an allure of the Himalayas.
The difficulty of Mardi Himal Trek
The Mardi Himal Trek sees a drastic increase in elevation and that too at a short time. It is advised that novice climbers prepare themselves thoroughly before taking this journey. Youll need to walk for at least 6 hours a day too. Although no previous trekking experience is needed, we advise you to do some light physical exercise before taking this trek.
Day 01 :Arrival to Kathmandu (1320)
Day 02 :Fly to Pokhara - Drive to Kande and trek to Deurali (2,125m)
Day 03 :Trek to Low Camp (3,150m)
Day 04 :Trek to High Camp (3,700m)
Day 05 :Hike to Mardi Base Camp and trek down to Sidding (4,500m)
Day 06 :Drive Back Direct to Pokhara
Day 07 :Explore around Pokhara then fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 01 :Arrival to Kathmandu (1320) You will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport where Green Valley Nepal Treks representetive will greet you. He will take you to the hotel and help you settle in. To show our appreciation and welcome you in Nepal, the company will organize welcome dinner for you. You will stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 02 :Fly to Pokhara - Drive to Kande and trek to Deurali (2,125m)After breakfast, we will drive you to Kathmandu's domestic airport to fly Pokhara. After about 30 minutes flights you will reach Pokhara, our guide will pickup you from Pokhara airport then drive to Kande where your trek begins.
From the Kande trail further gentle wind through the rhododendron woods to the mountain pass called 'Deurali'. Deurali is disregarding the Modi Khola valley wedged between Annapurna South and Mardi Himal/Mt Fishtail. We trek for about 4 hours crossing many villages to reach our goal of the day. Deurali is the best viewpoint to observe the Annapurna range and Pokhara valley. We will stop at Deurali for an overnight stay. You won't have more choices for lodging. There are just 5 lodgings in Deurali. After check in to the hotel, take rest and we acclimatize in a hotel for overnight getting ready for further trekking for the next day.

Day 03 :Trek to Low Camp (3,150m)Before start the day we will provide you local breakfast at the lodge in Deurali. Trekking along the excellent trail enjoying the grandest perspectives, you will appreciate the trek. After walking for almost 3 hours, we will arrive at the Low Camp. You will mainly be walking from grassland with the great view of Mt Fishtail and Mardi Himal seems a lot nearer. You get yourself closer to clear blue sky with a perspective on layers of Himalayan lower regions and clearing valley towards the south. We at that point proceed with our trek to the Low camp through forest camp. If you are lucky enough, you may get a chance to have glimpses of rare animals like Himalayan Thar, Spotted Deer, Musk Deer, Snow Leopard, etc. The low camp has two or three tea houses in the clearing of the backwoods. After about 7 hours of trekking, we reach Low camp and rest there for a night. At the Low Camp, you will have just 5 options for the hotel. Do not stress over the service they give. The lodges are delightful and the proprietors are obliging. You will get a room in the twin sharing premise.
Note: You can trek 1 more hr. to Badal Danda (Cloud Hill) over the tree line in the assent of guide for a superior view. There is just one lodge in Badal Danda.
Day 04 :Trek to High Camp (3,700m)Starting at the Low Camp, we will trek straightforwardly to the High Camp today. Abandoning the Badal Danda, we will continue for 4-5 hours stroll along the Mardi Himal edge. We trek extreme towards high camp leads through the Mardi edge giving the glorious perspectives on Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre. In the wake of moving through the Rhododendron timberlands for 1.5 hours we will arrive at the Middle Camp. The tree lines start getting slighter and the zone for the most part involves shrubs with restricted rhododendron shrubberies along the trail. In the event that you are fortunate enough, we may even observe the "Daphne" (national bird of Nepal) on our way to high camp. We ascend to the high camp, which is the last objective of the day. At the point when you arrive at the High Camp, you will have alternatives of 4 lodges. The lodgings are perfect viewpoints of the snow-secured tops. The lodging is more prominent having 8 individual rooms barring the parlor region. The high camp offers an ideal perspective of the mountains. From here the mountain viewpoints are stunning.

Day 05 :Hike to Mardi Base Camp and trek down to Sidding (4,500m)Early in the morning, after having breakfast, we hike towards the High camp in the first part of the day, we at last head towards our main destination- Mardi Base Camp. It takes around 5 hours to arrive at the Mardi Base Camp. At the base camp, we will appreciate the impressive natural environment with exotic flora and fauna and snowy mountains. We will spend some time there exploring the gleaming Himalayas and snowy landscape. After spending some great time enjoying the beautiful scenes of Himalayas and capturing some beautiful memories, it’s now time to plunge back to Sidding. The trail demands around 4 hours of the somewhat steep and dangerous drop. The brutal trail brings you into a wonderful conventional village of Siding where the night will be spent. Overnight stay at a Trekkers Lodge or a homestay at Siding.
Day 06 :Drive Back Direct to Pokhara This day we go back to Pokhara from Sidding by a sharing jeep. After taking a drive of about 2 to 3 hours, you reach Pokhara and you will be dropped in your hotel. This afternoon you could explore around Pokhara yourself.
Day 07 :Explore around Pokhara then fly back to Kathmandu. After breakfast, you could explore around lakeside Pokhara. At late afternoon after lunch drive to Pokhara airport then fly to Kathmandu. Our Green Valley Nepal treks airport representatives will pickup you from the Kathmandu domestic airport then drive to our hotel in Thamel. In the evening I will provide you farewell dinner in Florid Garden restaurant.
Day 08 :Departure or extend your Program.One of the members of our company, we will drop you at the international airport terminal gate as per your flight departure time and bid our last goodbye to you.
