Mera Peak Central and North Summit
Mera Pak has two summits as classified by the Nepal Mountaineering Association. The height of Mera Central is 6,461 meters and the height of Mera north is 6,476. Generally most of the group attempt central summit 6,461 meters. The last 20 meters is really steep part where our climbing guide fixed the rope.

Pre-Climbing training in Khare before attempting to the summit:
This is a very important part of the trip which you shouldnt miss if you are a beginner climber. Our Climbing guides give you training about how to use rope, how to walk through glaciers, basic use of climbing gears, and all about techniques. So we recommend you to reach Khare at least one day in advance to get this training and to acclimatize yourself.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 :Meeting with guide and pre-climbing training in Khare (5045m)Today is your first day on the Mera Peak Climbing trip from Khare. Today our guide meets you in Khare, we give you the meeting point name and time of our pre-trip meeting in the Kathmandu office.
After meeting with our climbing guide he will check all your climbing gear and if you don’t have sufficient he suggests you rent from our store in Khare. Then he give you short training about climbing techniques.
Today accommodation and food you have to pay yourself.

Day 2 :Khare to Mera High Camp (5780m), 5-6 hours After breakfast starts hiking with a climbing guide. Hike to Mera Base Camp from Khare is easy to walk; it will take about 2 hours. Most of the Climbers don’t stay in Base Camp because it is a really short and easy walk to Base camp from Khare. We prepared an itinerary directly heading to the High Camp from Khare as well. After you reach High camp, our team provides you lunch and our guide teaches you how to use climbing gear and mountain safety, etc.

Day 3 :Summit Mera Peak (6,461m) and trek to Khare (5,045m)We get ready at 2 AM for our adventure journey to Mera Peak Summit. We mostly use a headlight and walk securely by man-rope. The trail isn’t difficult but it makes us slow down because of the cold air and low oxygen level.
40 to 50 meters ahead from the summit is the most challenging part of the trip from where we use fixed rope and jumars to climb the snowy dome of the Mera Peak summit.
By 9 to 10 am we will reach the summit of Mera Peak. We spend 5 to 10 minutes at the top of the Mera Peak and we head down to High camp.
Our staff will greet you with hot tea/coffee at the high camp. We take a short rest have lunch and trek down to Khare Overnight.
