Nagarkot Dhulikhel hiking is a perfect trip for those with limited time, yet want to explore rural villages and rich flora and fauna. Nagarkot itself is a preferred destination for tourists to view the Himalayan ranges. The trail to Dhulikhel is good for bird watching and to observe the village culture and lifestyle of Nepal. Dhulikhel itself is a culture centre with ethnic locals and plenty of temples.
Drive to Nagarkot then hiking to Dhulikhel (Around 16 km) Approx 4 to 6 hrs) then drive back to Kathmandu
Nagarkot to Dhulikhel Hiking is a moderate hike through deep forests, terraced fields and small villages, with an accompanying backdrop of the majestic mountains. Nagarkot is a preferred tourist destination for sunrise and sunset views as well as the Himalayan ranges. The six hours nature walk is a wavy journey, climbing and descending small hills and passing villages that depict the rural lifestyle of Nepal. Dhulikhel is the administrative center of Kavre, where you can find ethnic customs and traditions still alive.
The trail first descends from the Nagarkot hill and slowly ascends, the sequence continues throughout the journey. Its a pleasant walk through lush forests which even encloses the path at times, heavily shading small sections along narrow trails. Terraced fields mostly with corn plantations can be seen in places with small settlements. Houses are scanty during the trail, and we come across a small tea house, which marks the mid-section of the trail. As we climb a hill with stone steps leading to the top, the view gets better. Settlements thicken as we descent from the top. Soon, trail to Nala and Banepa pass by and as we move further, the small town of Dhulikhel can be beautifully captured in a photograph. The drive back to Kathmandu is via the B P Koirala highway.

He went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. He managed to find ...
