Overview of Everest Base Camp Trek Heli Out

Everest Base Camp Trek Heli Outtrip is a great way to witness the Everest region and upon reaching the targeted location, Everest Base Camp. The program is intended for those who have a limited time and still wish to trek to the Everest base camp, and after reach the Everest base camp, fly back to Lukla on with a helicopter (sharing).

On our Everest Base Camp Trek Heli Out tour, we trek to the base camp of the worlds highest mountain, Mt. Everest, and visit Kalapathhar which is another most wanted after destination in the Everest region. Everest Base Camp trek Heli Outtrip begins from Kathmandu. On day two we will take regular flight to Lukla start the trek. We will follow the regular Everest Base Camp Trek route until day nine. On day ten we tend to begin our day prior than other days for the sunrise trip to Kalapathar. After the sunrise trip, we will take a helicopter flight (sharing) to Lukla spend last night on the mountain. On day 11 we will fly back to Kathmandu on a regular flight by plane.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 :Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 M) Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be displaying a GREEN VALLEY NEPAL TREKS signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle. You can visit our office for a pre-trip meeting and know the detailed arrangement of the Trek.

Day 02 :Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, then trek to Phakding (2652m)As our flight time to Lukla, we will arrange transport to drive to Kathmandu domestic airport. The flight to Lukla gives outstanding views of the early morning sunrise on the snow-capped mountains. On landing Tenzing-Hillary Airport after 40 minutes at Lukla, we reach the gateway to the Himalayas. The trek begins from the airport itself soon after meeting our crew there from where Phakdung is a short walk. As this is the first day of the trek, we rest in Phakding.

Day 03 :Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) Starting early in the morning, the route passes through beautiful pine forests, Dudh Koshi River, and views of Mount Thamserku. After passing a few settlements we a check post, the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. We further walk through the confluence of Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River and take a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar where the first sight of marvelous Mount Everest and ridges of Mount Lhotse and Mount Nuptse welcomes us.

Day 04 :Acclimatization day in Namche Namche Bazaar, the biggest settlement in the Khumbu region, is well facilitated with ATMs, Internet cafes, restaurants, bakeries et cetera. Although it’s a rest day for acclimatization, we go for a short hike to a nearby viewpoint (Thame or Khunde) and take a tour of the place including the Tourist Visitor Center where information about Everest climbers, Sherpa people, and their culture and flora and fauna of the region are briefed. Overnight stay in a lodge/tea house.

Day 05 :Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3867m.) to Dibuche 3810 mtrsWe follow the trail that climbs the top of a ridge offering a panorama of Thamserku, Kusum Kangrib, and Kantega. After walking around a branch ridge, the views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Everest, Tawetse, and Nuptse suddenly become unveiled. We then start descending and come to the crossroad with one way leading to Gokyo valley. Walking through the village of Trashinga, we soon reach the Dudh Koshi River. The first half of the climb to Tyangboche is strenuous, however, eases off as the trail approaches the forested area. With splendid views in the backdrop, the climb along the mountainside leads to a stone gate that marks the entrance to Tyangboche. Tyangboche gives one of the best panoramic views of the snow giants. After a short break in Tyangboche, we continue our trek to Dibuche overnight.

Day 06 :Tyangboche – Dingbuche (4410m)The morning view of the mountain panorama is outstanding and you can click the breathtaking views of Kangtega range, Thamserku, Amadablam, Taboche, Kwangde, Tengboche, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Our day begins along the trail through Imja Khola then to Tengboche where we descend to the riverbank, through the rhododendron and birch forests. At Deboche we visit a Buddhist nunnery and cross a few chortens to reach Pangboche where we can have a splendid view of the wonderful mountains. One can easily notice the thinning vegetation on walking from upper Panboche to the dry and alpine terrain of Shomare. The apical ridge of Mt. Pumori can be viewed from Orsho then finally we reach the cold and windy village of Dingboche where we stay overnight.

Day 07 :Rest day at Dingboche (4260 m.) for acclimatizationThere are some breathtaking views of the North face of Ama Dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge as you explore this beautiful valley that leads up to Island Peak. The walk is short with a good chance to relax in the afternoon. Another option is to hike up to Chhukung, where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Island peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Tawoche peak, and others.

Day 08 :Dingboche to Lhobuche (5000m)The trail goes slightly uphill till Thugla Pass then descends moderately up till Lobuche. You will see memorial stupa and pray flag hanging on the hill over the Thugla pass. The stupas were built in memory of climbers who have lost their lives during the expedition of Mt. Everest. You will get an opportunity to get the view of Tawache, Cholache, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Pumari, Nuptse & Kusum kankaru mountains. The glacier ridge of Lobuche offers you the view of Everest base camp, Kala Patthar, Khumbu glacier, and moraines formed by glaciers.

Day 09 :Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5150m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m), back to GorakshepThis is the most important day of the Everest Base Camp trek route. At Thangma Riju one can experience the 360-degree panoramic view of snowcapped mountains. Actually, Mount Everest is not seen from here however Mount Nuptse, Mount Nuptse, and Mount Pumori can be viewed very well. Below Mount Pumori, a grey grassy land of Kalapathar can be seen after climbing up the steep through the terrain of Changri glacier.

Day 10 :Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5545m) then fly back to Lukla by Helicopter On the climax of this trip, the trek starts much early in the morning so that trekkers can witness the glimpse of Mount Everest when the dusk turns to a bright morning with the light of the day. On the way Peak s Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse are viewed. It is recommended that during the ascent to Kalapththar which takes hours one plus and catch breathe while snapping the photos at times. A panoramic view of the Himalayas can be seen at Gorakshep.
Then we will provide you breakfast in Gorakshep then our helicopter will be there to pick you up which will take you to Lukla. A helicopter flight to Lukla will be the most exciting & memorable trip.

Day 11 :Flight back to KathmanduThis is the day when the Mountain flight from Lukla to Kathmandu is enjoyed once again. On reaching Kathmandu it is time to enjoy shopping and walking around the city. The evening is to celebrate for successful completion of the Everest Base Camp trip.

Day 12 :Final Departure or onward for next program The final day in Nepal is the last time one can enjoy shopping and have pleasant sightseeing around the cultural city of Kathmandu valley before leaving for Tribhuwan International Airport on scheduled flight time.
