Early in our planning phase, my wife and I (Germany) decided - based on a friend’s recommendation - to book with Green Valley Nepal and take on the Three Pass Trek. No matter what questions we had, Arjun always responded quickly, thoroughly, and reliably. The pickup at Kathmandu Airport, the pre‑tour briefing, and the onward flight to Lukla all went smoothly.In Lukla, our guide Leela and our porter Ram were already waiting for us. At the start of our 16‑day trek, our group consisted of the two of us, Tobias „the Netherland“, and our two Nepali companions. After a short time, we were already having a lot of fun together. On day three, Vlada “Sister” (Russia) joined us, making us a group of six.With each day we climbed higher, and as the physical effort increased, so did the good mood within the group. A major reason for this was our guide Leela, whose top priority was that all of us completed the trek safely and in good health. He took care of food and drinks, gave us detailed evening briefings about the next day, and shared insights about culture, religion, mountain peaks, and wildlife along the way.During the highest and most challenging pass crossing, the Kongma La, Leela demonstrated his skills as a climbing guide. He secured us with a rope over steep, icy sections and ensured that everyone crossed safely. The weather was on our side throughout the entire trek, giving us clear views almost every day and allowing us to finish without any incidents.Looking back, this journey was an indescribably beautiful experience, both in terms of landscape and culture. Equally wonderful was the consistently positive group atmosphere - and of course Leela and Ram, whose warm and humorous nature made every day special.Our clear recommendation: Book with Green Valley Nepal - and insist on having Leela Tamang as your guide. I have just finished a wonderful experience trekking with Ambar as my guide. He was supportive, attentive, and always made sure I was safe and comfortable throughout the journey. We all got along so well from the beginning and had a lot of laughs along the way. When I started to feel unwell at altitude, he handled the situation calmly and professionally, which I really appreciated. The trek was challenging but very rewarding, and I’m grateful for his knowledge and care along the way. I went on the Nar Phu Trek and Tilicho Lake with three companions. Our guide did an excellent job of guiding us through the wooded track and the picturesque towns. He was very aware of his obligations, and we had nothing more at our disposal than extremely skilled guides. The breathtaking mountain views and the small settlements were like an open book with so much to discover. I relished every second of it. My friend and I had an absolutely amazing experience! We started April 13 flying by heli into Lukla. We met our guide, Bindra, in Lukla. He was by far the best part of our trip (and we had perfect weather)!! I can’t stress how amazing of a guide he was. He kept my friend and I safe and tailored the pace once he realized we were strong trekkers. For example, he had us climb Kalapatthar the same day as EBC while the views of Everest were stunning and not affected by weather. He also recommended us to buy crampons when he realized we were going to hit icy conditions which were not initially forecasted when we left Kathmandu. Everything went perfectly on the entire trip. He was such an experienced trekking guide and the company itself was so easy to work with. Arjun was always responsive to all of questions I asked via WhatsApp while still in the USA. 100000% recommend and will be back next year to do Mera peak with this company!!!!!
