I had always wanted to visit Mount Everest and it was confirmed in this helicopter tour in less than half a day. The approach at Kalapatthar was spectacular as a close-up view of the summit was clear with no need to walk a distance. It was even more unique as I had breakfast in Everest View Hotel with the Himalayas in view.

You Will Not Get a Better Trek Operator in Nepal than Green Valley Nepal Treks
I chose Green Valley Treks when it came to booking my EBC trek with Helicopter return in April 2024—and boy am I glad I did that!! In summary, they have more than earned my highest recommendation.
Raj, the coordinator, was incredibly accommodating from the beginning and closely worked with my schedule and ever-changing COVID guidelines to help book my trip. I only had 9 days off from work, and was comfortable with my training, but the shortest trip offered by any other tour operator was over 12 days.
However, Raj created an individualized itinerary for me and assigned me a fit guide/porter duo to set me up for success. He even personally picked me up from the airport and dropped me off after I completed my trek. My flight to Lukla got cancelled due to the poor weather, and Raj diligently worked with me to organize a Jeep to Phaphlu and a private helicopter to Lukla the very next morning due to my already annotated trip.
My guide, Bishow, was enthusiastic, friendly, and was proficient in English. He did everything in his power to ensure I was able to accomplish my goal of completing the EBC+High pass trek in 8 days; and simultaneously, have an enjoyable and memorable trip.
He ensured he pointed out all the notable peaks during our week of clear skies, as well as the history and significance of Sherpa culture and Buddhist traditions. Although I pre-medicated with Diamox, I felt some signs of altitude sickness one evening in Lobuche due to our lack of acclimatization days.
On that evening, Bishow played cards with me, offered to give me a head massage, and sang a beautiful Nepalese song. He was upbeat, thoughtful, and calm throughout the trip—if you have the option to choose a guide, I would strongly recommend you ask for Bisho as he will not disappoint!
My porter, Jit, was similarly wonderful and ensured he kept up with our ambitious pace. He acted as an assistant guide helped out with ordering meals and ensured that I was well taken care of.
In summary, Green Valley Treks is an absolute gem amongst the 100s of tour coordinators offering the EBC with Helicopter return. They have earned my highest recommendation, and I would highly recommend them to my family and friends!

Breathtaking Views and Cultural Highlights
This 9 day walk was the best adventure and relaxation combination. It proved to be an experience to remember as we encountered such attractions as Tengboche Monastery, breathtaking Everest panoramic views and the delightful Sherpa display villages on the path. The trek back to Namche after the Tengboche provided a pleasant flow with the trek, making it not too daunting but rewarding.

Unforgettable Journey Around the Annapurna Circuit
It was exactly 14 days of Annapurna Full Circuit Trek; a dream come true in terms of culture, adventure and spectacular scenery. The acclimatization day at Manang helped me to be ready to the high pass and arriving in Muktinath through Thorong La was a dream fulfilled. It seemed to be a complete journey ending with Ghorepani and Poon hill, full of mountain hardship, and pure Himalayan beauty.

An Epic 14-Day Adventure
The Everest Base Camp Trek 14 Days turned out to be all I was expecting. Every single day we could discover new things, starting with the crowded streets of Kathmandu and ending with the quiet roads at Namche Bazaar, Dingboche, Lobuche. Being at the Everest Base Camp at the end of the trek through Gorakshep was a dream come true.

Everest Base Camp Trek Helicopter Return to Kathmandu - 10 Days
Writing this review of my solo trekking experience with Green Valley Nepal Treks back in November 2023. I did the Everest Base Camp Trek Helicopter Return to Kathmandu that took a duration of 10 days. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The accommodations were better than I expected and the flexibility of this package was what made me book with Green Valley in the first place. Raj managed the trip smoothly and my guide Parsu was very friendly and helpful throughout the journey. I could not be any happier to recommend Green Valley if you are seeking an amazing trekking experience!

Amazing Everest Base Camp Trek with Green Valley Nepal
I did the Everest Base Camp Trek with Green Valley Nepal Treks in the last two weeks of November 2023. My guide Raj Lamalxa Kulung (Raj) and my porter Kershav Rai (Keshav) guided me safely up to the base camp. Having had altitude sickness during a trek in Kyrgyzstan, I was really worried about how I could manage these levels of altitude. In the end, I had no problems at all mainly due to the experienced recommendations of my guide, Raj:
Water is key. The more the better. Aim for more than 5 or even 6 Liters a day. Once you get a headache, drink half a liter of water, it will get better.
Trek high, sleep low: On acclimatization days, Raj proposed treks to higher altitudes which helped the acclimatization process.
Keep it slow/frequent breaks: The trek is not technical, so you might want to rush ahead and gain ground. That‘s a mistake. Raj made sure we had sufficient breaks which helped the acclimatization process.
Food and drinks: Raj put a lot of emphasis on eating and drinking the right things. Avoid oily dishes as they may take very long to digest. Avoid non veg items as there is no reliable cooling process for meat at this altitude. Instead go for dhaal bhat, the food of the porters, and ginger tea, due to the positive health effects of ginger.
No preventive intake of medicine. This is the main point why Raj is a 5-star guide: In the teahouses, I have seen many other guides advising their clients to take Diamox against altitude sickness and medicine against headache as a preventive measure without giving them a chance to acclimatize naturally at all! I was so happy that Raj was not pumping me full of drugs just to have an easy trek, but instead to meticulously focus on my condition.
Garlic: No recommendation of Raj but of Reinhold Messner: Take either garlic tablets, or raw garlic or eat garlic soup at the teahouses. It‘s a natural aid to acclimatization.
Apart from his great experience and recommendations, Raj had a great sense of humor and gave great tips on what to explore the next time I visit the Everest Region. To sum it all up, the trek was amazing and when I return to do the Three Passes Trek, I will request to do it with Raj and Keshav!
There are also some points of improvements you could request if you decide to do the EBC with Green Valley Nepal Treks:
Plan an additional puffer day in Gorakshep: Due to snowfall, I was not able to ascent Kalla Patthar. I highly advise you to plan an additional day in Gorakshep to hedge yourself against the unpredictable weather.
Do not trek from Lobuche to Pheriche on your return but instead trek from Lobuche to Dingboche. The winds storming through the valley of Pheriche are freezing! There is no reason to take this route.
If you reach your lunch spot already at 10:30 am or 11 am, just take a tea break and then move on to your final destination. Having a filling lunch and then continuing trekking increases the chances of headaches.
